What is ISO 22000?

ISO 22000:2018 is the standard for food safety management systems whereby an organisation demonstrates its ability to control food safety hazards to ensure that food is safe for human consumption.

ISO 22000:2018 is applicable to all types of organisations, regardless of size, that are involved in the food chain.

Organisations certified to ISO 22000 can achieve full FSSC 22000 certification, recognised by GFSI, by meeting the requirements of sector-specific PRP technical specifications and additional scheme requirements.
